Other Agendas and Action Plans approved by government agencies themselves, each in its own sphere of competence, and by the private sector, civil society, academia, NGOs, etc., are compiled below.

The strategic framework of the Spanish Urban Agenda is voluntary and flexible and is directed at all stakeholders whose activity, public or private, has an impact in our towns and cities and on their sustainable development. It will therefore be up to each of these stakeholders to determine how they want -or are able- to implement the Agenda's goals through the way in which they draw up their various Action Plans.

Presentation

The Spanish Urban Agenda (AUE) is a strategic document of a non-regulatory, and thus voluntary, nature that, according with the criteria set out in the 2030 Agenda, the new United Nations Urban Agenda and the Urban Agenda for the European Union, seeks to achieve sustainability in urban development policies. It is also a working method and a process for all public and private stakeholders involved in cities and seeking for a more equitable, fair and sustainable urban development.

One of the main goals of every International Agenda, also present in the Spanish Urban Agenda, is the exchange of knowledge, experiences and best practices that affect our towns and cities.

This section seeks to provide a platform for sharing and disseminating all those practices that, due to their characteristics and specifics, can contribute to achieving any of the goals of the strategic framework, while at the same time encouraging creativity and providing viable solutions for sustainable urban development.
