Descriptive and statistical data

The Strategic Framework for the Spanish Urban Agenda (AUE) reflects a series of descriptive data related to each of the ten strategic goals.

These data can be requested from the Ministry responsible for the AUE, and provide an overview of the current situation in each Spanish municipality. This tool can be used to help decision-making and to establish the specific goals to be achieved. These goals will be evaluated using the system of tracking and performance indicators contained in section 4 of this Agenda.

The Database of the AUE descriptive data on municipalities with more than 5,000 inhabitants is also easily and freely accessible. This Database contains a table listing every municipality with more than 5,000 inhabitants and more than 50 descriptive data of the AUE, and another table showing the first quartile, the average value and the third quartile, including a distribution in clusters based on population: municipalities with more than 100,000 inhabitants, municipalities with 50,000 to 100,000 inhabitants, 20,000 to 50,000 inhabitants and 5,000 to 20,000 inhabitants. This database contains more than 200,000 pieces of information that provide not only data on the relevant municipality, but that can be used to compare it with neighbouring municipalities and those with similar populations.

On the other hand, the Descriptive Data of the Spanish Urban Agenda have been included in the Digital Atlas of Urban Areas in Spain, in order to facilitate its interpretation in the geographical context.
