Accessibility Order in urbanised public spaces

On 6 August 2021, Order TMA/851/2021, of 23 July, was published in the Official State Gazette, which develops the technical document on basic accessibility and non-discrimination conditions for access and use of urbanised public spaces.

This Ministerial Order, which fully repeals the previous Order VIV/561/2010, of 1 February of the same title, has been in force since 2 January 2022, and is characterised by having an eminently technical nature, thus recommending the accompaniment of a guide.

The guide to accessibility in urbanised public spaces is, therefore, a document that tries to improve the understanding of its contents and that will undoubtedly help to apply the Order as uniformly and effectively as possible. The guide also provides clarifications and examples intended to facilitate the decisions to be adopted by those who must apply it:
