The Agenda of towns and cities Catalonia 2050 was approved in June 2022 by the Urban Assembly.
Its objective is to put forward proposals for the future and provide recommendations and actions to achieve a sustainable, territorially balanced, and socially equitable development model by 2050.
It is defined as the tool that makes it possible to enhance opportunities and face the challenges posed by the growing urbanization suffered by the Catalan territory, especially the regions closest to the coast, and as an opportunity to collect proposals that promote citizen participation in decision-making processes. In addition, the promotion of innovation and the development of smart cities are considered.
