AUE Pilot Projects. Call for applications 2021
The regulatory bases for the granting of funding for the preparation of Pilot Projects of Local Action Plans of the Spanish Urban Agenda was published on 13 September (Order TMA/957/2021, of 7 September), in the BOE (Official State Gazette). This opened a call to obtain funding through a competitive bidding process.
In total, 233 applications have been submitted, of which, in accordance with the final resolution published on 13 December, 121 proposals for Local Action Plans have been selected. These proposals, due to their quality, uniqueness and exemplary capacity, can become Pilot Projects transferable to many other places in Spain. Among those selected are Municipalities of very different population sizes, and also Provincial and Island Councils, widely covering the entire national territory.
The call responds to the funding programme provided for in the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan (PRTR) ( Investment line 6, Component 2), called “Implementation of the Spanish Urban Agenda: Urban Rehabilitation and Regeneration Plan”, which is one of the three programmes led by the Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda (MITMA) and has a total budget of 20 million euros.
